I am the sucker who decided that Tedd's suggestion to start an RV Wiki was a great one and offered to set it up. I enjoy the Wiki technology, and thought it was a fantastic idea. So ... we started the RVWiki and collected a good bit of input. Matt decided he wanted to expand his site by having a broader wiki which would include RVs .. and Tedd and I felt that it was a natural outgrowth of Matt's current work in the community. So it was without ego that we elected to support Matt's efforts and our existing wiki will likely become history.

I am building an RV-7, currently working on the fuselage. You can see my progress at http://www.openweave.org/rv7, where you can look at my builder's logbook. You'll note that I am a sloooooow builder. Between a family, with kids in high school (the oldest about to go college), a job that keeps me very busy, and having a "Real Life (tm)", I have to really work to carve out time to build on the plane.

However, I've long comforted myself with the realization that all I have to do is not quit. If I simply don't quit, in the end I'll have a plane that I built. That keeps me going, and enjoying the process along the way as well.

I am a software engineer who has been in the industry for over 20 years. I currently work at Cisco Systems in the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. I am an NC native (seemingly one of 4 natives left in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area ... we should be labeled "endangered" and given government grants at this point).
